Katharine Knoetze (BAHons Psych, MACouns Psych MAPS)

Certified individual schema therapist (standard level)

About Katharine

I am a registered psychologist and certified individual schema therapist (standard level). I have experience as a clinician in counselling, psychiatric and private practice settings.

My areas of interest include issues related to grief and loss, complex trauma, depression and anxiety, as well as adjustment to challenging life circumstances.

I have extensive experience working with individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, specifically those who have suffered trauma in the context of their refugee and asylum-seeking journey.

I have a collaborative, flexible and client-centred style that aims to empower, and prioritises the dignity of the individuals with whom I work. My approach is primarily informed by schema therapy, integrating aspects of other evidence-based modalities.

I work with adults from the age of 19 years and am available for appointments on Mondays and Thursdays (9:30am – 6:30pm).
